The BMW airhead made from 1969 to 1995 is a pretty unique machine. Subjectively it makes a wonderful noise between 4000 and 6000 rpm but burbles along nicely at just under 4000 rpm normally returning between 40 and 50 mpg driven sensibly. BMW AIRHEAD PARTMAINTENANCE GROUP has 4858 members.
